Delete Your LapPulse Account

This page explains how to delete your account for LapPulse, the motorsport lap timing app developed by Artur Ploom, and exactly what happens to your data when you do.

1. Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

Open LapPulse on your phone.
Open the menu using the ☰ icon.
Scroll down and tap Delete account.
Read the summary of what will be removed, then tap Permanently delete my account.

Your account is deleted straight away. You do not need to contact us, and there is no waiting period.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in or no longer have the app installed, email ploomartur@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my LapPulse account”. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

The following are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered:

Your profile: display name, racing number, country and avatar
Your email address and your sign-in identity (Apple or Google)
Your leaderboard times on every track
The lap data uploaded with those times — the “ghost lap” GPS traces other drivers can race against
Your likes, your follows and your followers
Any moderation reports you submitted
Your push notification token

If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the LapPulse token, so the app disappears from your Settings → Sign in with Apple list.

4. What is kept, and why

Tracks you published to the Track Workshop are kept. Other drivers have lap times recorded against those tracks, and deleting a track would destroy their data too. Your published tracks are disassociated from you instead: they are no longer linked to your account and are credited to “Deleted driver”. Your name is removed from them.
Sessions recorded on your phone stay on your phone. Your lap times, telemetry, photos and videos are stored locally and are never uploaded. Deleting your account does not touch them. To remove them, delete the sessions in the app or uninstall LapPulse.

5. Retention

Deletion of the data listed in section 3 is immediate and permanent — there is no additional retention period and no backup from which your account is restored. Server logs that may contain a technical record of the deletion request are retained for up to 30 days.
